Hotel Duhoux - Wirdum

We had a lovely Easter break at a family-run hotel with a welcoming attitude towards their guests. the staff was super friendly and attentive to our needs. the food was excellent and offered a good price-quality ratio. Plus, we enjoyed the peaceful location, surrounded by a local atmosphere.

Our mattress was too soft and needs replacing, especially on the edges where people sit. the internet was slow and dropped out a few times.

The hotel is located in a charming and scenic village just a short distance from a larger city. the rooms are clean and tidy, with tea and coffee making facilities. the staff are friendly and helpful, with good spoken English. the breakfast is decent, though a fruit basket would be a nice addition. the hotel offers a restaurant and casino to enjoy.

The service-orientation of the staff could be improved for solo travelers, as there is a fee for basic services such as using a microwave.

The rooms were somewhat outdated and would benefit from some modernization. Additionally, we found the church bell chimes to be quite loud and disturbing, interrupting our sleep during the night.

The hotel had great facilities including a lovely restaurant and bar. Parking was easy to find on the street and the location was charming and scenic.
